Communication and education
Information regarding the regional impacts of climate changes and hence resulting adaptation strategies need to be readily accessible to all the project members in order to develop respective measures and policies. Moreover, the public needs to be informed about the possible consequences of KLIMZUG-NORD projects and their outcome on climate changes. Every citizen can then find out what he or she can do against the outcome of climate changes. Effective communication means that recommended strategies and procedures should be implemented more eagerly and thoroughly.
Educational programs are important, not just to inform the population, but also to involve every citizen of the region in the prevention and adaptation to climate changes. Without effective educational programs there is a risk that essential information from the significant amount of innovative research findings will not actually reach important target groups and members of the community.
